Devon SmartMove

Devon SmartMove is a rent deposit scheme. We work with people in Exeter and East Devon who are looking for accommodation in the private rented sector and live on a low wage or benefits. We only take referrals from our nominated referrers. These are: Exeter, East, and Mid-Devon Councils.

We offer landlords a written guarantee in place of a cash deposit on behalf of our clients and then support tenants to enable them to act responsibly and maintain their tenancies.

We can advise you on changes in the law and upcoming legislation, handle all the paperwork including the inventory and act as mediators if disputes arise. We interview all tenants before they approach you and often try to match tenants to suitable properties.

Basically we help take the risk out of letting, making your job easier.
