Community Housing Aid is a charity that has been offering housing advice and support for 15 years. The Charity’s objectives are to relieve poverty, sickness and distress among persons within the City of Exeter and surrounding local authority areas who are homeless, or threatened with homelessness.

OUR MISSION: to empower individuals in need of housing to find their own solutions by working with them to remove the obstacles that face them.

OUR CORE VALUES: Community Housing Aid believes that everyone has the right to suitable, sustainable, secure and affordable housing.

Community Housing Aid exists to advise and support people who wish to exercise this right.

WHAT DO WE DO?
Community Housing Aid runs four key projects that help tackle and resolve the causes of homelessness.

SMARTMOVE - a rent deposit guarantee scheme for people on low incomes to help them move into private rented accommodation. We only take referrals from our nominated referrers. These are: Exeter, East, and Mid-Devon Councils.
